About Natalie Frigo
Natalie Frigo is a fine artist who began designing jewelry seven years ago. After receiving critical acclaim working in the contemporary medium of video, Natalie began parallel projects in the decorative arts. Her interests led her to the study of ancient metallurgy and textiles to contemporary architectural forms. The latest result is a series of functional objects cast in limited series in sterling silver and 18K gold. Natalie combines sculpting, wax carving and metalsmithing techniques with personally selected gemstones to create organic forms referencing sublime artifacts.
Natalie's video works have been exhibited in galleries and at film festivals throughout the world, including a retrospective at the George Eastman House in Rochester, the 20th Film and Video Festival at the National Museum of Women's Art in Washington and the Busan International Video Festival in Busan, South Korea. A Merit Fellow at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Natalie was raised in Chicago and currently lives in Manhattan.
